Helvellyn Cottages are adjacent self catering holiday cottages above Glenridding and Ullswater, in the heart of Cumbria and the Lake District. These pet friendly holiday homes are old miners cottages on the bridle way which leads to the old Greenside mine and is now the Helvellyn Youth Hostel. They provide self-catering holiday accommodation for 4 people each, giving a good flexible Lake District holiday home for up to 8 people. Cottage 1 has a beautiful garden with views towards the lakes and the foothills of Helvellyn. Cottage 2 has no garden but both cottages are flanked on both sides by the fells. They are a traditional Lakeland stone cottages offering a good mix of original features and modern facilities including satellite TV, washing machines, power showers and full heating. The lounges in each are also equipped with fires, sofas, and a great range of maps, books, DVDs and videos.

Each cottage sleeps four people in a double room at the front with excellent views of the fells and a smaller twin room at the back. Well behaved pets are welcome at both cottages, although we ask that owners keep their dogs downstairs!

The cottages are located above Glenridding, with views from the garden over Ullswater, and stunning views to the front of the foothills of Helvellyn. Glenridding has a good range of local shops, pubs and restaurants, with the nearest pub being just 500 yards down the track from the cottages.
