Haweswater -
Haweswater reservoir was created in 1929 as a reservoir for Manchester. In so doing, the settlements of Mardale and Measand were demolished. It is on the famous Coast 2 Coast walking path and many people visit the area when the water levels are low to see the remains of the settlements.
